Widowed Parents

As a widowed parent, you will know the feeling of disorientation and fogginess that comes after the death of a partner.

You’re trying to manage your own feelings of grief whilst also supporting your children in theirs.

It can feel completely overwhelming taking on the responsibility of solo parenting. There’s often a fear for the future and an uncertainty about how to rebuild your family in the wake of such significant loss.

How I can help

I offer a few options for widowed parents including:

1:1 therapeutic sessions: for those still feeling the emotional impact of grief and needing a therapeutic space to process the emotions associated with the loss

1:1 coaching: for those who are maybe further along the bereavement path and consider themselves ready to create their next chapter of life

Consultation: for those with questions about how best to support their child. No question is too small … you’re navigating a whole new landscape and it’s normal to want support with this. Often this can be a one off session

Don’t worry if you don’t know what you need, that’s my role to help you work that out! I often provide a blend of therapeutic intervention and consultation in my work and will always collaborate with you about what feels right for you.

Whenever you’re ready and wherever you are in your bereavement journey, I can help you not only step out of that darkness but learn to embrace the future.

I will help you to feel less isolated and more confident in the task of solo parenting so that you have the strength and conviction to lead your family forward into new beginnings.
